definitely don’t consider myself a food blogger, but I couldn’t help myself and
just had to share some pictures with you from my lunch at the Ritz Carlton inLondon. I might not be a food blogger but I’m certainly one that loves to wine
and dine and totally love getting dressed up for a fancy dinner. I went to
lunch with Trevor Finnergen as it was his birthday just a couple of days before and the
food was really amazing. The Ritz itself is just so stunning and just coming in
and seeing the lovely tea room, the opulent décor and high ceilings is an
experience itself. We had lunch at the big restaurant and this is what I had:
starter we had some mini appetizers that had fantastic flavours and really got
you in the mood for what’s to come. We had a really nice waiter who was
obviously delighted to have some more relaxed guests he can joke around with
here and there, as they are obviously drilled to always be overly polite and
hold up the standards.
starter I had red snapper with a variety of dips and vegetable on the side. I
mean the picture speaks for itself, it obviously was really good and although the
portion looks pretty small because you take your time eating it actually fills
you up more than you think.
For my main
course I had lamb with artichokes and potatoes as well as caramelized onions. I’m
normally not one to order medium rare, but as I was in the Ritz I obviously
trusted in the cook to make it not too bloody or chewy. Of course it was cooked
to perfection and so succulent.
was a coconut cream with tropical fruits and looked very impressive and like a
little piece of art. They also served some little sweet treats at the end and
the white chocolate macaroon was to die for! I’m a total white wine fan and the
one served was really good, pretty strong as well I have to say, I definitely
felt a little buzz after two glasses.
At the beginning the waiter asked us if we are here for any occasion, so I mentioned that it was Trevor’s birthday before and at the end our waiter brought out a little birthday cake and actually started to sing Happy Birthday which was hilarious as he has an Italian accent!
Have you been to any lovely restaurants lately?
Much love xxx
